Sorry attempt to downplay the power of 3D Mario, we all know that even less than 3 hours are enough to speed run almost every Mario game, the longevity and replay value comes from trying to 100% all stars and discover every secret in Mario's games including secret worlds and secret individual levels.
This game will be phenomenally fun to play as you can deduce from video previews and trailers and not just strong because of reliance on the Mario brand power or advertisement, unlike...
I wonder why Pachter and other "analysts" and fanboys do Not talk about this for example: http://www.gamepolitics.com...
But what do you know?! It's just Nintendo and NOT one of those multi-trillion, monopolizing companies or those with media studios and news sites. They make their games internally and NOT just go throw endless money...
They most definitely do.

Interesting time choice for this "Rumor" to surface!? Wii U is on a comeback roll, lets try and counter that with some dumb rumors and the trolls will emerge from every cave, basement and attic(yes, some trolls live in attics!) and eat it up.
*Nintendo comes up with a very good product, gets 4.5/5..Haters, No Nintendo, pack it up already.
*ps4/xbone get same old cod, but with frame rate issues this time, fanboys hype it up to heavens.
N4G at its finest!
Meh, whats with the obsession with "graphics" "textures" "resolution" and everyone becoming a Graphics Wh@r3/market analyst !!?
I am playing CoD Ghosts and BF4 now on my pc on highest settings and it's the same old dung.
You tend to notice textures and all this graphics jargon for few minutes when you watch a trailer or play the game for 1st time, and then the only thing that persistently matters and keeps one playing is, guess what?! Gameplay...

I re-100%ed (is that even a word!!) Mario Galaxy 2 on my Wii U this week in anticipation of SM 3D World, and I must say that SMG 2 is unparalleled in gameplay and instantly gratifying fun factor by any other game in the last generation and I find its graphics perfect in art style, color and performance; really outstanding (even if not in HD) in an ocean of same-y looking dull grey visuals.
SM3DW looks to carry on that legacy but in HD this time with the sweetest of visual eff...
Wii U Now(more games, less money), Ps 4 down the line with a price drop and more games, I think that's the best strategy.
For myself I had a Wii U, and I transitioned to PC since last year for 3rd party multiplats and I found that to be superior than my previous experience with the twins, not only power/performance-wise but also Financially given the crazy Steam sales and lower prices for games in general and No online subscription fess.
That's a fun game, try it if you have time, it's cheap on Steam.
This might be the 1st Mario & Sonic game I buy. Looks fun this time.
Excellent game. If u like Twisted Metal, this is better, and it's cheaply priced on Steam.
I also forgot to mention Steam's crazy sales, game bundles, early access and low game prices in general as well as Wii U's new 300$ bundles with incredible value(console+WW HD or NSMB U and Super Luigi U and subscription-free online).
That's, I believe, is the best overall choice. You'll have the best visuals/performance for multiplat/3rd party games coupled with the new Steam controller(which looks innovative btw) and you can also expect to play Half Life 3 and next Portal/Team fortress/Left4Dead if you have Steam Box(or even PC with Steam OS, take that Windows!),
and on the other hand you'll also have Nintendo's top notch quality games as well as an innovative controller interface, Miiverse and fr...
Don't like it, don't buy it, it's that simple; relax and love life, cheers!
Great value, I picked up a 2nd Wii U(Wind Waker HD bundle) for my two sons, actually I'll take that special fancy gamepad for myself and give them my overused launch gamepad! and keep the old Wii U for me ONLY! NO sharing!!
I just checked HavokPants' link and yeah, multiplayer pack has been cancelled by Ubisoft for ALL CONSOLES and preorders. But it's fun and trendy to report this as a Wii U ONLY PROBLEM!
To be honest, I wished they cancelled Wii U's multiplayer and made that edition 10$ cheaper (A' la Batman Origins).
I wouldn't mind if it's 10$ cheaper, given games of this kind excel in single player campaign and have poor, rudimentary multiplayer component(e.g GTA, AC, Batman).
And uncharted and god of war and Assassin's Creed and Batman and Battlefield and CoD and Forza and NFS and FIFA and NBA and so on. At least Mario and Zelda are consistently fun and always try to change gameplay, control interface, design and even graphical style fundamentals, unlike the games mentioned above for which almost every new iteration could be considered a glorified DLC or expansion pack. Singling out Nintendo's franchises for repetitiveness or milking shows only one's h...
